Search is On for Irish Lotto Jackpot Winners

Lottery24 – Search is On for Irish Lotto Jackpot WinnersThe search has started for the owners of two tickets that shared the €4,532,646 Irish Lotto jackpot in the 1 October draw.

The two winning tickets were purchased in Kerry and Donegal and each gives their owners a great start to the month by winning €2,266,323. Neither of the winners have come forward to claim their prize.

One of the winning Irish Lotto tickets was sold in Hannah Mary’s Country Store XL in Killorglin, Co. Kerry and the other was bought at the Centra Food Market in Carrigart, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

It seems that the Centra Food Market is a lucky store at which to buy Irish Lotto tickets. Their manager, Shaun Boyce, said that this is the third big winning ticket they’ve sold in recent years. “We had a winner seven or eight years ago and another one two years ago, it was a New Year’s Millionaire lotto and she won one million.”

Earlier this year a syndicate of soldiers won €452,700 playing the Irish Lotto. A family from Dublin have had nine big wins on the Irish Lotto.

As to who the latest Irish Lotto millionaire is, Shaun hasn’t got a clue. Perhaps the winner will remain anonymous just like the player from Adare in Limerick who won a €2m Irish Lotto prize.

His store attracts a lot of tourists but not so many at this time of the year so he hopes someone local has just had a “nice pre-Christmas bonus.”

Earlier this year we told you of a shopkeeper in Wexford who told one of his customers about their €7.9m Irish Lotto win. Another shop owner was a local hurling captain in Limerick who sold a €3.8m Irish Lotto ticket.

The Hannah Mary’s Country Store is owned by Jerome Griffin and he’ delighted at the news of the big Irish Lotto win. His small country store only started selling Irish Lotto tickets in April 2015.

The big Irish Lotto win has certainly got everyone talking with “a big buzz in the shop.” Like Shaun he has no idea who the lucky winner is but says most of his customers are locals. “All I’m saying to them is put it in a safe place and take time to think about it, then contact the National Lottery straight away,” he advised.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s Irish Lotto draw were: 02-05-08-14-40-42 and the Bonus Ball 07.
