13-Strong Syndicate Claims €250,000 Irish Lotto Plus 2 prize on Friday the 13th

Lottery24 – Syndicate wins on the Irish Lotto Plus 2They say that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day, try telling that to a syndicate of 13 receptionists and administration staff from Dublin, Ireland. They collected a €250,000 Irish Lotto Plus 2 prize on Friday after scooping the prize in the January 4 draw.

The lucky Irish Lotto Plus 2 syndicate headed to Lotto HQ in Dublin during their lunch break to claim their prize and they already have lots of plans on how to spend their winnings. The syndicate leader said their win came just in time to banish the January back-to-work blues.

They have requested to remain anonymous just like another €250,000 Irish Lotto Plus 2 winner who was successful last October.

Speaking about their big Lotto Plus 2 win, the syndicate leader told how everyone was fed up after a busy festive season. “Everybody was moaning about being broke after Christmas,” she said. Everything was about to change though and those money worries were going to be consigned to history.

It was the morning after the Irish Lotto Plus 2 draw that the syndicate leader checked the results of the previous evening’s draw. Waiting for her was a notification to contact the National Lottery HQ but how much had they won?

“We all huddled around a phone in the office as I made the call. When we were told we won the Lotto Plus top prize, we went absolutely mad, squealing and screaming down the phone. It was such an amazing feeling,” said the leader of the lottery syndicate. It’s the latest big win by an Irish syndicate after a family won a €4.6m Irish Lotto jackpot last year. Also successful were a syndicate of Irish soldiers who scooped €452,700 playing the Irish Lotto.

The syndicate have been together for less than two years and consists of 12 women and one man, aged between 27 and 54. Each player will take home €19,230. Some of the Lotto Plus winners want to put their winnings towards a deposit for a house. In England, Mehmet Ozer was looking to get on the property ladder after his £300,000 EuroMillions win. Others want to buy cars or go on holiday. Robert Carter from West Virginia, USA, took his wife on holiday with some of his $1m Powerball winnings. Michelle and Barry Fender from Wales bought their council house and an Audi after their £1m UK Lotto win.
