A factory worker from Cork won a €257,084 EuroMillions prize in the August 4 draw. He collected his cheque but didn’t have time to celebrate and straight afterwards, despite his windfall he went back to work.The delighted winner has asked to remain anonymous, that’s just like the couple from Queensland in Australia who won a $1m Gold Lotto prize.The sports-loving lottery player bought his winning EuroMillions ticket from the Easons’s store in the Wilton Shopping Centre. The winning numbers in that draw were 29-30-36-40-41 and the two Lucky Stars 02 and 09. If he’d managed to get the other Lucky Star he’d have won the 25m pounds jackpot.The factory worker had to swap shifts so he could catch the train and head to Dublin to collect his EuroMillions winnings at Lotto HQ in Dublin.
