DUNDEE MAN WINS £650,000 ON EUROMILLIONS TICKET PURCHASED AT ASDA
A mystery man from Dundee in Scotland has won £650,000 on a EuroMillions ticket which he purchased from his local Asda supermarket.
A couple of years ago we told you about a Dundee firefighter who won £1.9 million on the UK Lotto, and now another lucky winner, whose identity has not yet been revealed, is described to have been in shock when he took his ticket back into the store following the EuroMillions draw, only to be told that he’d won half of a £1.3 million prize pot.
In Friday evening’s EuroMillions draw, the jackpot worth £134 million went without a winner, but there were two lucky players in the UK who matched five numbers plus one of the lucky stars to split the £1.3 million second tier prize fund. One half of the couple that won £148 million on the EuroMillions is now a resident on Dundee, and was recently in the news for her latest investment.
The Dundee man therefore walked out of his local supermarket with £655,838, and Asda staff members said the EuroMillions winner had a fantastic reaction to the news. “I didn’t serve him, but everyone heard about it,” said the store employee. “He came in, claimed his ticket and he was just in shock. He was shaking and he was white in the face.” Another EuroMillions winner from Dundee also purchased his ticket from his local Asda and went on to win £1 million.
The staff member continued to say that those who knew what was going on tried to ask the EuroMillions winner how he was planning to spend his money, but the man was still in shock. “It’s brilliant, but he seemed to just be shocked by the whole thing,” said the Asda employee. Recently a syndicate from Canada said they were all in shock when they found out about their $1 million Lotto 649 win.
Now, the winner of more than £650,000 has to go to Camelot, the company which runs the National Lottery and EuroMillions in the UK, to claim his prize, and only then will we have the chance of finding out exactly who this mystery Dundee winner is, and what they plan to do with the life-changing prize money. The EuroMillions jackpot is up to £155 million for this weekend’s draw… don’t miss the opportunity to win big and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com.
