The Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots just keep on climbing and between them are now worth a staggering $995m and could go through the billion-dollar mark by the time the draws take place.

2017 ended with a second-tier win of €1,171,349.10 in the December 30 Lotto 6 aus 49 draw. No jackpot wins in the Saturday and Wednesday draws so on the 7th the top prize will be €10m.

The final big jackpot win of 2017 came in the New Year’s Eve Lotto 6 aus 45 draw. One ticket matched 10-22-33-37-43-45 to win €2,113,645. On Wednesday, there was a second-tier win of €102,062.

The first EuroMillions draw of the year had a top prize of £15.084m after a ticket sold in Malahide in Ireland won a €38.9m EuroMillions jackpot last Friday. No repeat win this time with players unable to match 10-20-21-28-48 and the two Lucky Stars 01 and 08. On Friday, the jackpot is £25m.

There were no jackpot winners in the SuperEnalotto draws this week. By Thursday, the top prize had risen to €80.7m but tickets found it impossible to match 05-19-28-43-58-82 and the Jolly 18. On Saturday, the top prize will be €81.6m

The Mega Millions jackpot was $361m on Tuesday but again ended in a rollover and will be $445m on Friday. The elusive numbers were 01-42-47-64-70 and the Mega Ball 22. There were two second-tier winners of $1m with those tickets sold in Florida and Ohio. Last year, Ricky Rhinebolt from Mansfield in Ohio, USA, also became a millionaire playing the Mega Millions draw.

The UK Lotto top prize on Wednesday was £5.42m with players hoping to follow in the footsteps of Arno, who won a £24.43m UK Lotto jackpot last week. The latest draw ended in a rollover with players unable to get 11-19-20-30-35-49 so on Saturday the jackpot will be £8.4m.

The Powerball jackpot later that night was $460m but another rollover means it’s gone through the half a billion dollars mark. On Wednesday, the numbers drawn were 02-18-37-39-42 and the Powerball 12. There were six second-tier winners with two sold in Florida and the others in California, North Carolina, New Jersey and Oregon. Teresa Avalos-Gomez from Oregon also won $1m playing Powerball.
