PORTUGUESE TICKET WINS €61M EUROMILLIONS JACKPOT

There were celebrations in Portugal on Tuesday after a ticket sold in that country scooped the €61m EuroMillions jackpot. The Powerball jackpot will be $455m on Saturday.

The week began well with a jackpot win in Monday’s Bonoloto draw. One ticket matched 02-23-24-31-33-39 to win €596,011.

Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw had a top prize of €61,521,581 (£54,643,467) and it now belongs to the owner of a ticket sold in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. It’s another big win for the country but not as massive as the €190m a ticket holder in Portugal won in 2014. This latest lucky ticket matched 09-11-13-33-49 and the two Lucky Stars 06 and 12. Three tickets won the second-tier prize, one sold in the UK won £188,271 and the other two were sold in Portugal and France winning €304,873. On Friday, the jackpot returns to £15m.

The SuperEnalotto jackpot on Tuesday was up to €112.7m but again ended in a rollover. The elusive numbers were 19-33-42-65-78-85 and the Jolly 74. There was one big winner though as one ticket matched five of the main numbers and the Jolly to win the runners-up prize of €619,489. On Thursday, the jackpot stands at €113.5m with players wondering if the top prize will surpass the €163.5m SuperEnalotto jackpot won two years ago.

In the USA, there was a $318m top prize in Tuesday’s Mega Millions draw but it’ll be $345m on Friday after the draw failed to produce a jackpot winner. The numbers no ticket could match were 06-30-58-60-61 and the Mega Ball 17. Four tickets won the second-tier prize of $1m. Those were sold in Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky and New York state. Last year a family from Indiana won a $536m Mega Millions jackpot.

To Wednesday and the UK Lotto draw had a jackpot of £1.8m after Saturday’s draw produced a £7.988m UK Lotto top prize winner. There was no jackpot this time with tickets unable to match 07-19-38-45-47-53 and the Bonus Ball 15. That means a top prize of £5m on Saturday.

The Powerball jackpot was $417.3m on Wednesday but ended in a rollover. Tickets were unable to match 06-12-24-41-68 and the Powerball 9. There was one runners-up prize winning a million dollars just like Karen Parker from Iowa, US, who won a $1m Powerball prize. On Saturday the jackpot will be a massive $455m.

The Lotto 6 aus 49 draw had a €8m top prize but produced a rollover. No tickets were able to match 13-18-30-38-45-48 and the Bonus 07. There was a second-tier win of €810,654. Saturday’s jackpot is €11m.

It was the Spiel 77 draw that saw the largest win on Wednesday. One ticket was able to match 9-7-7-7-6-5-0 to win the jackpot of € 5,277,777. There was also a jackpot winner in Wednesday’s Joker draw. A single ticket landed €200,522 by successfully matching 3-0-4-7-1-6. Further success occurred in the Super 6 draw with one ticket with 3-9-9-2-3-0 winning €100,000.
