Dream Numbers Win $60m Lotto Max Jackpot

Many lottery players use numbers that are important to them. Others have stranger ways of selecting their numbers. That’s what Deng Pravatoudom from Toronto, Canada did, and it’s won her a $60m Lotto Max jackpot without even paying for her ticket.

The lucky winner says that her chosen numbers came from a dream her husband had 20 years ago. She’s been using them in Lotto Max draws ever since and on December 1, they made her a multi-millionaire.

57-year-old Deng has two adult children and two grandchildren. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, there was no massive family celebration. Instead, the Lotto Max jackpot winner held a virtual celebration.

The delighted winner came to Canada from Laos in 1980 with her 14 siblings. The past 40 years haven’t been easy for her. In the early days of living in her new country, her family received help from a local church. “We had nothing, I am thankful for the great support they provided us over the years,” she said.

With her husband, she used to work long hours as general labourers. Earlier in 2020, Deng lost her job due to the pandemic. “This money will certainly help our lives much easier,” the Lotto Max winner said.

A Free Ticket

Her amazing win came from a ticket she didn’t even have to pay for. She’d won a Free Play Ticket and it was that which scooped the Lotto Max jackpot. It was her husband who discovered the jackpot win.

He returned to their car and broke the news of their amazing success. “He was serious, not joking, so I knew he was telling the truth,” said Deng who then started crying. It was a dream come true for her. “I have always prayed for a blessing that my family would be taken care of,” she added.

Their children are so happy for their parents. They told them how after working so hard and making so many sacrifices, they deserve this happiness.

Diamonds and a New Home

The couple live in an apartment but will now buy a new house. Bills will be paid off and help given to immediate and extended family. Treats include buying some diamonds and then when possible, going traveling to Texas, Hawaii, and Europe.
