“OH YAY, OH YAY... ARE YOU THE EUROMILLIONS CHRISTMAS DAY WINNER?”

Did the £1 million EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle winner throw their lottery ticket out with the discarded wrapping paper on Christmas Day? Who knows, but the ticket-holder from the Neath Port Talbot area in Wales had still not claimed their Christmas 2012 lotto bounty in the week of the deadline.EuroMillions held a special Millionaire Raffle on both Christmas Day 2012 and New Year’s Day 2013. The aim was to create 25 lottery winners in each draw, but as you can see not everyone claimed their lotto prize. The National Lottery was keen to find the ticket-holder and present them with their £1m before the claim period expired on Sunday 23rd June. A spokesperson for the Lottery said: "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, which could really make a huge difference to somebody's life.”They enlisted the help of a town crier to make some real noise and spread the word in the Neath Port Talbot area. We’re guessing the residents were a little surprised to see the town crier, David Craner, adorned with tinsel and a Santa hat as well as his traditional uniform. It was hoped his very Christmassy attire would jog memories of last Christmas, and the EuroMillions winner would come forward."We hope our festive town crier will help spread the word throughout Neath Port Talbot, and encourage people to look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding. This prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club – but time really is running out."The winning EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle code was DXD401009, and the unclaimed £1m plus interest joins The National Lottery Good Causes Fund.To be in with a chance, you may purchase your EuroMillions lottery tickets online at Lottery24.com.
