PENNSYLVANIA WRITER CLAIMS MARYLAND POWERBALL PRIZE JUST BEFORE THE DEADLINE

A professional writer from Pennsylvania has claimed a $50,00 prize which she won on the Maryland Lottery, just a few days before the deadline. The self-employed writer admitted that she’s experienced at working to deadlines, but she almost missed the February 9th limit on claiming her Powerball prize, won in the drawing on August 12th. The Powerball winner said that she’s interviewed lottery winners for her job, and always wondered if she’d become one herself.“I asked myself, ‘Is this really happening?’” she said, after having rushed from her home in York, Pennsylvania to Baltimore, Maryland so that she could claim her winnings. The lottery winner said that she purchased her Powerball ticket when she was chasing the multi-state lottery jackpot, which was high last summer. She bought her winning ticket from Wegmans #54 on Wormans Mill Road in Frederick, Maryland. A lottery player from Minnesota claimed her $50,000 Powerball prize just a day before the deadline, while an Irish EuroMillions winner claimed €381,863 just hours before the ticket expires. The 40-year-old writer said that when she heard that the August 12th drawing didn’t produce a jackpot winner, she forgot all about checking her ticket for smaller prizes. In fact, her ticket remained in her purse for several months, until she realised in late January that it was worth $50,000 when checking a collection of tickets that she’d left in there. A lottery player from Maryland also left her winning Multi-Match jackpot ticket unchecked in her purse. One by one the Pennsylvania woman checked her Powerball tickets, and finally the August 12th ticket matched Powerball numbers of 20, 24, 35 and 49 as well as the main Powerball of 19, winning her $50,000. Now that she’s claimed the prize, just in time, the lucky lottery winner said that she plans to invest a portion of her winnings into her writing business, and she’ll also use some of it to take a well-earned vacation. A National Lottery scratch card winner from Dorset in England planned to invest his winnings in his property business. The Powerball jackpot that she’d been chasing was finally stopped at $758.7 million, when it was won by a player in Massachusetts.Try your luck on your favourite lottery and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com.
