Another bus driver from Brooklyn in New York also recently won a top Cash4Life lottery prize thanks to a last minute decision to change his game.“Something in my mind said you need to buy two Powerball tickets,” the lottery winner said, adding that the draw came and went and the fact that he had two tickets completely slipped his mind until two weeks later. “Two weeks later, I looked up my ticket results and I was in shock and awe,” he said. “I had to get the winning ticket verified.” A Canadian Lotto Max winner from British Columbia also described himself as “in awe” when he won $1 million last year.The Maryland man got his Powerball ticket verified, but still took four months to claim his prize. “I was just busy with work and stuff,” the bus driver said. “I realised that if I didn’t go soon, I wouldn’t be able to claim my winnings,” he laughed, referring to the 182-day deadline to claim Powerball prizes.
