15 YEARS OF POWERBALL PLAYING LEADS TO $50,000 SYNDICATE WIN

A syndicate of Powerball lottery players from Maryland have won a $50,000 prize after playing together for the last 15 years. The group of colleagues, all of whom currently or used to work at the US Social Security Administration, began playing lottery games together 15 years ago after a pool of other colleagues won a Powerball prize. From then on, the group have been entering every Mega Millions and Powerball drawing that there has been. A Lucky Day Lotto winner from Illinois won $1 million after 15 years of bulk buying tickets without missing a draw. The syndicate, calling themselves the “Powerball Pack”, claimed their prize last week through their group’s leader, Phelisia Neale, despite their win coming on the drawing on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Ms Neale told Powerball officials that she enjoys organising the group. “It was easy to do,” she said. “People know me as the ‘Lottery Lady’ and I would be purchasing tickets anyway, and it just went from there.” A group of factory workers from Indiana recently claimed a $50,000 Powerball lottery prize, just a few days before it was due to expire. Many of the colleagues in the syndicate are already retired, including Ms Neale, but they have all remained in the group as they were hopeful that their lottery luck would come in eventually. Each of the 20 members of the Powerball winning syndicate will receive a $2,500 share of the $50,000 prize, and Ms Neale said that they are all planning to spend it differently.“A bunch of the pool members have upcoming travel plans, so the win means some extra spending cash or recouping the cost of a trip,” she said. A Lotto 649 winner from Ontario in Canada was set to travel outside of the country for the first time in his life after his $5 million windfall, while a scratch card winner from Iowa was able to take care of her holiday travel plans thanks to a $50,000 jackpot.Other members of the syndicate have different plans, including one upcoming wedding and another big birthday celebration. A member of a lottery syndicate from Wales was also planning a wedding when her group won £25 million on the Euro Millions. The winning Powerball ticket for the drawing on February 14th was purchased from a BP gas station on Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville.Try your luck and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com, it's quick and easy.
