UK MILLIONAIRE HAS JUST DAYS LEFT TO CLAIM PRIZE

A UK EuroMillions player who won a million pound prize on New Year’s Eve should have spent the New Year in luxury, but unfortunately that winner has still not claimed their prize, and time is running out for them to do so.
The unclaimed EuroMillions prize was won on 31st December 2013 in a special Millionaire Raffle draw which celebrated the New Year offering twenty-five £1 million prizes instead of the normal single prize. The winning ticket was purchased in the Warwick area of England and matched the raffle numbers with the code on the bottom of the lottery slip.

Chances are that the winner disregarded the ticket after realising that they had not won a prize in the main EuroMillions draw, but lottery officials are still holding out hope that the winner reveals themselves before it is too late. As every EuroMillions winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to claim any winnings, the missing ticket holder has until just 11pm on Sunday, June 29th 2014 to take what is rightly theirs, otherwise the cash, along with all of the interest it has generated, will be donated to the National Lottery Good Causes Fund.

Players in the Warwick area, as well as the rest of the United Kingdom, are being advised by Lottery officials to check all old tickets and search through junk drawers, coat pockets, glove compartments and any other nooks or crannies where the ticket could be. If you were in the Warwick area around New Year in 2013, the missing ticket could be right under your nose!

The latest call for lottery winners comes as the EuroMillions lottery was won in its weekend drawing this Friday, June 20th. The jackpot was worth a substantial £19.9 million after it had rolled over on Tuesday evening, but the top prize was not afforded the opportunity to roll over quite as much as the previous jackpot had done.

The winner of the £19,964,918 prize was located in Portugal, and it was the first Portuguese EuroMillions jackpot win of the year. This means that the EuroMillions jackpot for Tuesday, June 24th will be worth £11 million.
