A man from County Limerick in Ireland had a dream that he won the lottery, and the following day discovered that he was in fact more than €100,000 richer thanks to a EuroMillions win.

The man, who has not revealed his name, told lottery officials that he had a dream last Tuesday night that his local shopkeeper turned up at his house with the announcement that he had won the lottery. The next day, he checked his EuroMillions ticket and found out that as he was dreaming, he had matched five numbers in the EuroMillions lottery draw and won €105,541.

The lottery player picked up his winnings at the National Lottery headquarters a few days after his win, and told officials that he has suffered through some hard times to get to this point. “I’ve had ill health in the past, so the fact that I’m still here is my lottery win, and this is the bonus!”

The man’s grown up children joined him to collect his EuroMillions prize, and one of his daughters said that when the winner figured out that he had won there was pandemonium in the family house. The father called his daughters to break the news to them all, and began the conversation by saying “I’ve won a bit of money on the EuroMillions.”

When his daughters asked him how much, the lottery winner revealed the amount, and there was a sense of shock amongst the family. The winner said that he has won a second tier prize before on the lottery, and in fact he was just one number away from winning the first ever €1 million Lotto jackpot back in the late 80s.

The man told lottery officials that he plans to share his winnings with his family, ensuring that the money brings a little bit of happiness into all of their lives. The EuroMillions lottery rolled over at the weekend and is going to be worth an estimated £29 million for its next draw on Tuesday, September 2nd. Don’t miss this chance and play online at
