Friday night’s EuroMillions lottery top prize was starting from the beginning, after a Spanish player bagged the £31.4 million jackpot in the midweek draw on Tuesday.
However, another player from the same country was not going to allow the EuroMillions bounty to roll over, and they bagged the entire £11.7 million jackpot just four days after one of their compatriots took home their fortune. Tuesday night’s winner scored a triple rollover as they matched numbers 3, 7, 12, 13, 25 and Lucky Stars 5 and 8.
Friday night’s draw saw many people hoping to win a little extra cash in the week leading up to Christmas, and the jackpot winner scored their top prize after matching numbers 23, 29, 31, 39 and 44 as well as Lucky Stars 5 and 8. Aside from the jackpot winner, there were also many other EuroMillions prizes won in lower prize tiers, with five ticket holders claiming the second tier prize of £214,232 each after matching all of the five main numbers and one out of the two Lucky Stars.
Another five players scored the third tier prize which was worth £71,410 each, after they matched just the five main numbers. More than 200,000 people won smaller prizes ranging from £3.20 for matching two numbers up to £2,879 for matching four main numbers and both of the lucky stars.
We must not forget, of course, that there was another millionaire after Friday night’s EuroMillions draw, as one player from the UK will find that their raffle number, printed on the bottom of their ticket, matches the one drawn on Friday and has won them £1 million. The next EuroMillions draw will take place on Tuesday, December 23rd, and its jackpot will start again from its base value of £11 million.
Boxing Day’s draw will be this month’s Mega Friday draw, where ten players in the UK will be made rich thanks to the Millionaire Makers, and they will win a prize of £1 million as well as a luxury five-start trip to see the Northern Lights in Canada.
