EUROMILLIONS CHRISTMAS WINNERS

Lottery24 brings you some of the EuroMillions big winners in the period leading up to Christmas. Presents were probably pretty spectacular for their family and friends! On 17th November 2006, 20 lucky people (7 British, 4 French, 3 Spanish, 3 Portuguese, 2 Irish and 1 Belgian) shared €183 million or £124 million in the EuroMillions draw, ensuring a very festive Christmas. No ticket matched all the winning numbers for this draw so the jackpot was divided among the twenty tickets that matched 5 numbers plus one lucky star; the EuroMillions had rolled over its maximum amount of times. Each ticket holder won 5% of the jackpot plus the regular match 5+1 prize which was a total of over €9.6 million or £7.1 million each.Nearly three years later, on 6th November 2009, an epic €102,199,675 (£91,141,671) was shared between two winning tickets, both in the UK. They each received £45.5 million, the largest lottery prizes ever paid out in the UK at the time. One of the winning tickets was held by a syndicate of seven people from Liverpool who each received £6.5 million and the other by Les Scadding and Samantha Peachey-Scadding from Newport. Les admitted "This Christmas is going to be fantastic. I've never owned a new vehicle in my life and the Range Rover is my dream car. I want it to be black with ivory interior." A few years on, the EuroMillions winners are now divorced. On 21st December 2012, an anonymous EuroMillions ticket won €101,835,641 (£83,087,699). It was announced that the winning ticket was bought in department Haute-Garonne. That was enough to buy the "Pink Star", a huge flawless pink diamond, which sold for a world record price for a gemstone at Sotheby's.More recently, Margaret Loughrey won £27 million in the EuroMillions jackpot in draw number 645 on Tuesday 26th November 2013. Her EuroMillions winning numbers were 19, 23, 27, 42 and 44, with the Lucky Stars of 3 and 5. She bought the EuroMillions ticket, which landed her a massive £26,863,588.20 fortune, on her way home from the local job centre. She later vowed that she would not leave her home town of Strabane in Co Tyrone, but might buy a bigger house. She added that she had often dreamt of retiring to southern Spain. She also pledged that her four brothers, sister, 75-year-old mum, extended family and a few close friends would also benefit from her winnings. Why not add your name to this list of winners by playing the EuroMillions with lottery24.com!
