The EuroMillions lottery has recently begun ending every month with a prize better than the last one, and this month was no different as it celebrated its last Friday draw of 2014 with an extra special prize.

In the draw on Boxing Day, not only was the £19.7 million prize won by a single ticket holder, but 10 players across the United Kingdom alone also found themselves with a tidy prize and an extra special something to celebrate despite the festive season drawing to a close. Matching the five main numbers 17, 26, 27, 45 and 49 as well as both of the Lucky Stars 2 and 3, one ticket holder in Belgium took home the entire jackpot worth almost £20 million, or €25.2 million.

And that’s not all, because Boxing Day was the last Friday draw of the month, so the EuroMillions lottery offered its third Mega Friday celebration which increased the amount of Millionaire Raffle winners from one to ten, as well as increasing the prize on offer. Instead of just one player winning the guaranteed £1 million prize, ten players each won £1 million as well as the trip of a lifetime to Canada to see the Northern Lights.

The EuroMillions draw also found many other winners of varying prizes from just £3.10 for matching two out of the five main numbers up to £110,000 for matching the five main numbers and one out of the two Lucky Stars. The last EuroMillions draw on 2014 will take place on Tuesday December 30th and will offer a jackpot worth £11 million.

Gearing up for a great start to 2015, EuroMillions have also revealed what the big prize will be for its January Mega Friday, when ten players will win prizes of £1 million as well as a round-the-world trip for the winner with up to three guests. This round the world trip includes a choice of visits to Singapore, Australia and New York City, or a three stop trip around Bangkok, New Zealand and Los Angeles. Failing this, the winner could choose a trip that includes Hong Kong, Fiji and Miami. It’s all up for grabs in the EuroMillions lottery.
