Their ticket matched the five main balls and one of the lucky stars. If they’d managed to match the other Lucky Star they’d have been celebrating winning the EuroMillions jackpot. The winning numbers in the draw were: 08-11-23-27-35 and the two Lucky Stars 04 and 11.It’s the latest win for players in Ireland. Earlier this year someone in Cork won a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus prize.For one of the winners the windfall has come just at the right time. He was one of the first-time players and said “I was down to my last €5. I even had to borrow money to get to work the next day!”The winner added, “I said to myself ‘this had better work or I’m busted!’ And now look! I’m over €30,000 richer.” He plans on using his winnings to have a “really great Christmas” and also give some to his family.
