FORGET THE IRONING, I’VE JUST WON A €500,000 EUROMILLIONS PRIZE

A young couple from Dublin in Ireland delayed doing their ironing to check the EuroMillions results and discovered they’d won €500,000 in the EuroMillions draw on Friday September 23.The lucky pair have requested to remain anonymous, that’s just like the family from Perth who won a $50m Australian Powerball jackpot. Their winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in Dublin on the day of the draw. The following night the winning mother was about to do some ironing and then thought of that EuroMillions ticket. She joked that if the ticket was a winner she’d just buy some new clothes rather than doing the ironing.Little did she know but that joke was about to come true and that ironing might not be needed. When she saw that her ticket was a big winner, she was “absolutely speechless.” Not that the EuroMillions winner believed the big win, “I had to keep checking the ticket all weekend to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake.” It’s not known how much sleep she got but a player from Maryland, USA, had a sleepless weekend after their $15m Mega Millions win.Only when she contacted the National Lottery on Monday morning did she “let myself believe it was true”. The winning mother said that their top priority is a “proper family home.” The couple had a family when they were quite young and “we were never really in a position to save for a mortgage. We’re really looking forward to going shopping for a family home,” she added. Michelle and Barry Fender from Wales bought their council house after a £1m UK Lotto win. It's the latest big win in Dublin after a syndicate of bus drivers won a €24m EuroMillions jackpot recently. Another syndicate was celebrating after winning a €150,000 EuroMillions prize.Meanwhile the National Lottery are appealing for the winners of a £1m Millionaire Maker prize in the same EuroMillions draw to claim their prize. The winning ticket was sold in the Newry and Mourne District Council Area of Northern Ireland. Patrick Lisoire from the National Lottery said, “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.” That draw saw five players win a guaranteed £1m plus an Ultimate Rio experience.Play online at Lottery24.com and you will be informed in writing of all your wins.
