NORTH CAROLINA BROTHERS WIN $277,777 ON BRAND NEW SCRATCH OFF GAME

Two brothers from Wilkesboro in North Carolina have won a huge $277,777 prize on a brand-new scratch off lottery game, the ‘777’ game.Orman Walls and his brother Jimmie have a tradition of playing lottery games together, and this time they chose a different scratch off which they hadn’t seen before. “We play the lottery and watch our soaps,” said Orman. “It’s what we do for fun. We don’t cook much anymore, so we go out to eat and then get some lottery tickets.” Earlier this year, a North Carolina woman won $1 million on the Powerball but thought the winner was somebody else.So last Saturday night, that’s exactly what the pair of brothers were doing when they went to Market Basket on NC 268 in Wilkesboro, and Orman picked up several scratch off tickets for the two of them to share, one of which was the new ‘777’ game. The pair of them then went back to Jimmie’s car and began driving back home. A Californian teenager who won on a lottery scratch card also scratched it off in her car. While en route, Orman started scratching the tickets, according to NC Lottery officials, and just before they arrived at home the scratch off ticket purchaser said, “I think I have a winner,” at which his brother pulled the car over. Jimmie said that he then grabbed the ‘777’ lottery ticket out of his brother’s hand and persuaded his bother to go back to the lottery retailer to check the scratch off and make sure. A man from Maryland won big on a brand new lottery game which had only just been released by the state lottery.“Everybody was celebrating,” Jimmie said of the moment the lottery scratch off was confirmed a winner. “One of the ladies who worked there looked at the ticket and jokingly asked me, ‘Are you married?’ I pointed to my brother and said, ‘He’s the one who bought the ticket.’” A brother and sister from Western Australia recently shared a $1.3 million Saturday Lotto prize, while two brothers from British Columbia took home a $2.5 million scratch card prize last year. The lottery winning brothers have now split the money equally, with Orman planning to save his share, and Jimmie hopes to send his daughter and three granddaughters on a vacation to New England.Purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com, it's quick and easy.
