Tatts Lotto jackpot winner thought she’d missed out
A winner from Victoria, Australia thought that she’d missed out on the Tatts Lotto jackpot prize. After checking her ticket, she thought she’d missed one of the winning numbers and won nothing. Thankfully, Lottery officials called her to inform her of the truth.
She found it difficult to believe
However, it took some convincing from Lottery officials to persuade her she’d won. The woman, from Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, received the call from Tatts Lotto officials on Monday and the Saturday draw.
They told her that she had one of seven division one winning tickets. The winner was adamant that she’d missed out. Lottery officials told her to re-check her ticket and it turned out she’d won $574,330.46.
“I checked my ticket on the internet yesterday,” the winner declared to Tatts officials. “I was just one number off getting division one – I was spewing!” The lottery official tried to persuade her that she hadn’t missed out. But the winner wasn’t having any of it. “I don’t believe you,” she said.
Shocked and stunned.
She rechecked her ticket. “You’re kidding me!” she exclaimed. “I didn’t think this was ever going to happen!” The Tatts Lotto jackpot winner said she must have only checked the top lines. “I have to grab my husband – I don’t know where he is!”
The lucky winner has already made plans for her money. Once she’d broken the news to her husband, she wants to spend it on a special holiday. The couple plan to take a cruise together.
The winning ticket was purchased from Rosebud Plaza Lotto in Mornington Peninsula. There were four other winners in Victoria. The other two winning tickets were purchased in Queensland and one in Western Australia.
