New Numbers win Woman $2.558m Saturday Lotto Prize

Many players use the same lottery numbers for every draw. A woman from Penrith in Australia has been doing just but then decided to change them and won a $2.558m prize in the August 24 Saturday Lotto draw.

The lucky winner has asked to remain anonymous, but we do know that she is a mother. For six years, she’d been going online to buy a nine-game entry for the next Saturday Lotto draw. Then when it came to the latest draw, she decided for some undisclosed reason that it was time to make some changes.

Best Decision of her Life

That proved to be the best decision of her life. “But you wouldn’t believe it, it was a week ago when I decided to change the numbers, I’ve been playing for all these years and that’s what won me division one,” said the delighted winner.Her new set of numbers was one of two that won the jackpot winning her $2,558,804.44 which is equivalent to £1,404,085.31. The winning numbers in the August 24 Saturday Lotto draw were: 02-07-09-16-33-42 with the supplementary numbers 20 and 34.

Usually she checks her tickets on the night of the draw. However, it wasn’t just her numbers that changed that weekend. She didn’t check her tickets until 5am on Sunday and got the shock of her life.

The Saturday Lotto winner spoke to lottery officials and described her win as “wonderful,’ adding that “it’s a huge relief.” Still a bit shocked at the size of her win, she considered her success as being “unbelievable.”

Her Own Home at Last

It’s true though and the lucky winner says that the win “will change our lives so much.” That will include being able for the first time to own her own home. “The first thing that came to mind was no more renting,” she said.

The Saturday Lotto winner dreams of buying a big house with a granny flat. That way all her family can come to stay with her. Also, on her shopping list is a new car and helping her children.
