Birthday Present Wins $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Jackpot

We all love to receive a birthday present, but they aren’t usually worth over $100,000. A married woman from North Narrabeen in Northern Sydney, Australia received a Lucky Lotteries ticket from her husband, and it won the jackpot in the August 16 draw.

It was a lucky day for her as she also won a $2,000 consolation prize. Her ticket was not a registered one, so the lottery organisers had to wait a week for her to claim the $102,000 prize.

Cheering up a bad day

The woman was having a bad day, so her husband suggested finding out if the birthday present had been a winner. They checked the results on their computer and received the message “you have won a major lottery prize.’ The news left her dumbfounded and the couple went to a local store to see how much the win was.

The Lucky Lotteries ticket had won the $100,000 jackpot and a $2,000 consolation prize. “I’m still trying to process it all,” said the Lucky Lotteries winner. . “It’s made my life! I couldn’t believe it,” recalled the lucky player.

It nearly didn’t happen

It was a win that very nearly didn’t happen. Her husband had been considering cancelling the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot as he’d forgotten to register it. “Thank goodness he didn’t cancel it,” said the relieved winner.

The giving of a lottery ticket by her husband as a birthday present is a tradition in their household. His wife admits that she rarely plays the lottery.

The Lucky Lotteries winner says that the success is “such a big sigh of relief.” Now debts can be paid off and that will include their mortgage. “Just having some additional funds is even a big help,” she added.

Once lockdown comes to an end, a big celebration with her loved ones is planned. “I have told them the exciting news, and they’re so happy for me,” said the delighted Lucky Lotteries winner.

The winning ticket was purchased rom the Elanora Heights Newsagency. That’s owned by Karla Rothpletz-Tatt who said all her staff are “absolutely thrilled” at the news of the big win.
