EuroMillions Superdraw this Friday

An exciting time lies ahead of us on Friday 4 June. The second EuroMillions Superdraw of 2021 takes place with a guaranteed jackpot of €130 million (around £110 million).

Will the EuroMillions Superdraw follow a recent pattern? The last two that have been held both failed to produce a jackpot win. That trend carried on in future draws until the jackpot cap was reached.

A new record on the way?

Under new rules, the cap rose to €200 million resulting in a record EuroMillions win last  The same happened in February but another record was broken with a ticket purchased in Switzerland winning €210 million CHF230.2 million). The jackpot cap has now risen to €220 million (the maximum is €250 million), so another record breaking win could be on its way.

Life isn’t all about breaking records though. Let’s hope that Friday’s EuroMillions Superdraw produces a winner. Who knows it could be you with a ticket purchased from Lottery24, why not?

Recent EuroMillions Superdraws haven’t produced many jackpot winners. Just two of the last 11 have seen a ticket being able to get the five main numbers and the two Lucky Stars. It was September 2020 when the last Superdraw to get a jackpot winner took place.

Spanish success

On that occasion, a ticket that had been purchased in Spain scooped the €130 million top prize. Spain tends to do well in Superdraws with the last two jackpot wins both coming from that country.

As for the UK, they haven’t had a EuroMillions Superdraw jackpot winner since June 2017. This is the fifth Superdraw that has taken place in June. Only in that 2017 draw was there a jackpot winner, so surely one must be due.

It’s 14 years since the first Superdraw was held. The enhanced jackpot is possible due to the Reserve Fund. This receives contributions after each draw.

Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw has a £76 million jackpot. Whatever happens in that draw the jackpot will be enhanced on Friday. That will see a rise of either around £20 million or if Tuesday’s draw produces a jackpot winner, a massive increase of £95 million.
