New Jersey woman wins Cash4Life lottery thanks to coupon clipped from newspaper

NEW JERSEY WOMAN WINS CASH4LIFE LOTTERY THANKS TO COUPON CLIPPED FROM NEWSPAPER

A woman from New Jersey who won $1 million on the Cash4Life lottery has revealed that she did so using a coupon she clipped out of a newspaper.Carole Halleran found a buy one get one free coupon in her local newspaper and using it to buy two cash4Life lottery tickets. She told New Jersey Lottery officials that she bought the tickets while getting coffee for her husband at a ShopRite store in Wayne, New Jersey. Earlier this year we told you about Misty Morano from New York who won $7 million on the Cash4Life lottery, and Gregory Velez from New Jersey who took home the top prize on the Cash4Life game.One of those tickets, for the Cash4Life drawing on April 19^th, turned out to be a second prize winner as it matched five main numbers but not the Cash Ball, giving Ms Halleran a prize worth $1,000 a week for life or $1 million as a lump sum. A couple from New Jersey won $1 million on the Powerball earlier this year, and they described their good luck as “crazy”.The lucky lottery winner chose to take the lump sum, but she told lottery officials that she didn’t realise she had won until her daughter called to let her know that a winning Cash4Life ticket had been sold at her local supermarket, the same ShopRite store. Ms Halleran said it was then that she decided to check her tickets and found that the one she’d got for free had been very lucky indeed. There was recently a Mega Millions ticket worth $521 million sold in New Jersey, with the jackpot being the fourth highest in the Mega Millions lottery’s history.The New Jersey winner said that previously she had never won more than $11 playing the lottery, but she plans to put her $1 million Cash4Life prize into her savings, and she’ll invest some of it for the future. An Iowan Lotto America winner was also planning to invest his $4.38 million prize for the future.Ms Halleran beat offs of 7,282,016 to 1 to win her second-tier prize, and there were no first-tier winners for the April 19^th drawing.
