Boxing Day was full of lottery celebrations in Europe and the USA, topped by a $298m Powerball jackpot win.
The big lottery win came on Boxing Day as a ticket sold in New York was lucky enough to win the $298m top prize. It successfully matched 05-25-38-52-67 and the Powerball 24. Tickets sold in Florida, Illinois and Wisconsin all won the $1m runners-up prize.
The Mega Millions jackpot was $321m on Tuesday but tickets were unable to get 02-08-42-43-50 and the Mega Ball 06. Tickets sold in Montana and Connecticut became lottery millionaires after matching the five main balls.
The SuperEnalotto top prize was €81.4m on Christmas Eve but didn’t produce a winner in time for Christmas. The numbers drawn were 12-19-36-42-77-87 and the Jolly 47. The next draw isn’t until January 1.
The EuroMillions draw held on Christmas Day had a massive £99m jackpot but ended in a rollover. The elusive numbers were 04-05-08-31-43 and the two Lucky Stars 02 and 09. Six tickets won the second-tier prize of £167,294.90/ €270,734.
The big European win came in Wednesday’s Spiel 77 draw with a single ticket winning a fantastic €5,377,777 jackpot. More success followed with one ticket winning €1,573,634.10 in the Lotto 6 aus 45 draw and a single ticket landed the €100,000 Super 6 top prize. There were two winners of the €452,461.10 runners-up prize in Wednesday’s Lotto 6 aus 49 draw.
Monday’s Bonoloto draw saw one ticket win the runners-up prize of €138,568.94. More success followed on Boxing Day with a runners-up prize of €158,792.83 won.
The Boxing Day UK Lotto draw had a £2m top prize but tickets were unable to match 07-14-35-45-54-58 and the Bonus Ball 01. One ticket did manage to win the £1m runners-up prize. The same evening a single ticket won the £500,000 Thunderball jackpot.
