Celebrate the Easter holidays with special events thanks to the National Lottery

There’s plenty of reasons to celebrate the National Lottery this Easter holidays. One of those reasons is its many funded local projects. Many of which are hosting special events this holiday.

Visit the spectacular castle at Cardiff and celebrate one of the symbols of Easter. Eggs aren’t only made of chocolate! Events include egg decorating, egg rolling and even an egg and spoon race!

Find the Easter Bunny at the National Museum of Rural Life

The National Lottery funded museum in East Kilbride is bringing the Easter Bunny to life this Sunday. An Easter trail will be marked by egg-shaped clues to help little (and big) ones find the Easter Bunny.

There are also Easter crafts, candle making and a chance to meet some spring animals. All weekend long you can encounter lambs, chicks, calves, hedgehogs, rabbits and skunks too National Museum of Rural Life

A cracking time at Beamish

Beamish in County Durham is a living museum. National Lottery funding helps to create exciting activities all year round, and that’s no different this Easter. Take part in Easter crafts, egg rolling, Easter baking and wreath making. On Easter Sunday, there’ll even be a special 1940s Easter meal. Beamish Living Museum

Fun for the whole family at Blackwell Arts & Crafts House

At Blackwell Arts and Crafts House on the edge of Lake Windermere, National Lottery players’ contributions help run year-round events. This Easter holidays the venue is running printmaking workshops. Both young and older will be able to design their own print. Families can create joint works of art taking inspiration from the local nature. Workshops are free over the Easter weekend with entry to the House. Blackwell House

Easter of Eden

During the Easter holidays, there are plenty of games and activities for families at the Eden Project. The event is farm-themed, so families will learn about taking care of animals and crops. Children could even win prizes for playing games. There will also be egg hunts and storytelling! Eden Project
