Pennsylvania woman is a lucky lottery winner for a second time
A lucky lottery winner from Pennsylvania, USA has won big twice. Her two big wins have come thanks to scratch off tickets purchased from the same store.
Lucky for a second time
Peggy Dodson is from Lancaster County in Pennsylvania. This week she won $1 million on a Max-A-Million scratch off ticket she purchased from her local grocery store.
Just two years ago, she purchased a Family Feud scratch off ticket from the very same store, which won her $100,000.
The lottery winner said that she bought her most recent ticket because she liked the colour of it. “I liked that ticket because of the colour purple, it was the first one on the roll and it was the million-dollar winner!” she exclaimed.
With the latest lottery win in the bank, Ms Dobson said that she’s going to use it to pay off some bills and take a vacation. “We’re going to pay our mortgage off; we’ll pay our truck off and we’ll go to the Grand Canyon and Alaska!”
Playing the lottery is her only vice
The 72-year-old lottery winner said that she buys a lottery ticket every day from the same store. “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke. But I love to play the lottery,” she said.
Although she may be used to the winning feeling, the lucky lottery winner cried when she discovered her win. “I cried; I couldn’t help it. I just thank God,” she said.
Peterson’s Grocery Outlet in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the most recent winner. The store owner said that Ms Dobson is well known in the community. “Everybody’s happy for her,” he said.
