New Hampshire has its first ever Mega Millions Jackpot winner!

One New Hampshire resident has become the state’s first ever Mega Millions jackpot winner. In the Tuesday 23 July drawing, they matched the six numbers needed to grab the $168m jackpot.

It’s hard to believe that New Hampshire has never had a jackpot winner until now. There had previously been several Match 5 winners but no grand prize winners.

The winner will be able to collect $108.5m if they take the cash option. At this time, the winner is yet to come forward.Along with the jackpot winner, there was also one Match 5 winner in California. According to Mega Millions officials, there were 612,456 winning tickets for this draw.Another 22 tickets took home $10,000 for getting four numbers on their ticket.

This is the fifth jackpot win so far in 2019. Mega Millions had been rolling over since one California resident won a massive $522m jackpot on 7 June. The other jackpot wins are the $437m jackpot winner from New York on 1 January, $273m in New Jersey on March 1 and $50m in Missouri on 12 March.The next draw on Friday will return to a jackpot of $40m.
