Two Irish Lotto Wins in a Week
The luck of the Irish is in full effect over in Killarney, Co. Kerry with two huge lottery wins in just one week. What’s more, both tickets were bought at the same SuperValu store.
Two wins in one week
After selling a €500,000 EuroMillions winning ticket, the store found out they had also sold the winning ticket for Saturdays Lotto, worth a staggering €9.7m. Understandably, the Park Road store are delighted.
Neither winner has yet to come forward, but it has been confirmed that the Lotto Quick Pick was sold on the day of the draw. The winning numbers for the Lotto draw were 04, 09, 15, 27, 29, 34 and the bonus number was 17.
The owner of the shop is delighted
The owner of the SuperValu store John Daly said:
“Honestly, I am still in a state of shock and disbelief! Lottery wins are like buses – you wait over 30 years for one and then two come along at once! It really is a magical story for everybody in the community here in Killarney. It’s the bit of good news that we all need right now and we’re absolutely chuffed to bits for these two winners, particularly the winners of the €9.7 million, whoever they may be.
“We heard the news on Monday morning that a store in Killarney had sold the lucky Lotto ticket but having sold a big prize so recently, there was no way we’d even consider that it could have been us again!
“We are thrilled that we have two lotto ticket winners. We wish them all the best with their winnings. It is especially great news and a wonderful positive story during these difficult times.”
A National Lottery spokesman later confirmed that the winner has still not laid claim to their prize, and is urging everyone in the area to check their tickets.
Both lucky winners will be presented with their prizes while observing social distancing rules during this difficult time.
