Plumber for the Famous Wins £400,000 Postcode Lottery Prize

Sean from Llandeloy in Pembrokeshire, Wales, was busy working in his job as a plumber when discovering he’d won a £400,000 Postcode Lottery prize. In fact, at the time he was in an attic owned by a very famous person.

He was renewing a hot water system at a property owned by the actor and singer Jerome Flynn who appeared in ‘Game of Thrones’. His phone rang but he was so busy he asked them to call him back.

A few days later he received another phone call. This time it was a friend telling him there was a Postcode Lottery camera crew in the street where he lived. A call to his fiancée Caroline revealed the fantastic news and he quickly returned home. He had two tickets for the draw, so doubled his winnings to £400,000.

Sean now intends to get married to Caroline and quit his job as a plumber. He and his soon-to-be wife plan on opening a therapy farm for children and adults with mental health and mobility problems.

Game-changer

Winning £200,000 was former Royal Logistics Corps Sergeant, Alan. He described his win as a “game-changer” and added that he had to pinch himself to prove he wasn’t dreaming.

He’s now planning to treat his family to a holiday, “somewhere with a massive waterpark.” A few days before news of the Postcode Lottery win his son broke his arm. He’s asked for a Play Station 5 and was delighted when his father said yes.

His daughter has more expensive tastes than her brother. Currently learning to drive, she wants a Fiat 500.

Big secret

Also winning £200,000 is Maria who kept news of her Postcode Lottery success secret from her husband Chris. He was going to get a big shock when returning home from his job with Welsh Water. “I'll make sure he's sitting down. There will probably be a few expletives,” she joked.

Plans for their winnings include holidays in South Africa, Indonesia, Italy and Sicily, plus some house renovation.
