Mega Millions jackpot retailer to be paid lottery bonus
The retailer that sold one of two winning tickets for the Mega Millions draw worth $400 million last month received a cash bonus last week.
The draw which took place on March 18th found two winners, one from Maryland and one from Florida for what was was the sixth largest US lottery jackpot in history. Although we have no further details on the winners other than the states they are from, one of the retailers who sold a Mega Millions winning ticket received their bonus from the Florida Lottery last week.
A public cheque presentation was made to the store owners of the Sunoco Gas Station at Merritt Island in Brevard County, with the reward worth $100,000.
Whoever the lucky winner happens to be, they will be the recipients of an impressive pay-out worth over $200 million when they do decide to come forward. This will be worth an estimated $112 million lump sum payment before taxes. This will work out at around $74 million being deposited into the winners account after taxes.
While lottery officials are keen for the winners to come forward as soon as possible, they are not yet concerned that they won’t appear at all. After all, one of the most recent Powerball winner s took as long as six weeks after winning before coming forward to claim his $425 million. Mr Buxton was said to have intentionally taken his time in order to discuss and plan his options with legal, financial and PR representation.
The multi-state lottery is played by 43 states across the USA, and is drawn weekly on Tuesday and Friday evenings. If you are feeling lucky then why not give yourself a chance to win one of the lucrative prizes on offer by playing online with us today at Lottery24.com.
