Two tickets purchased by syndicates in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia each won more than $1.4m in the Tatts Lotto draw held on Saturday March 14.Earlier this month we reported how a player from Victoria became a lottery millionaire so the good run continues. One of the winning Tatts Lotto tickets had been purchased by a seven-strong syndicate from Ferntree Gully who have decided to remain anonymous. Their syndicate leader commented: "It's so unbelievable! We're still in shock!"First news of their Tatts Lotto win came late on Saturday night when a syndicate member called their leader saying she was certain they had five numbers. The syndicate leader revealed that "she has been wrong in the past" and on checking they actually had all six numbers and had won a first division prize of $1,422,427.65. Once the win was confirmed the other members of the syndicate were contacted and "we didn't get much sleep after that!"The syndicate leader said of the Tatts Lotto win: "It'll make a huge difference. I love to travel so this prize money will give me the opportunity to do more of it."Also celebrating are a 12-strong syndicate from the Belgrave Authorised Newsagency entitled 'Buddhist Luck.' In fact their luck really was in as they also won some other divisional prizes and in all won $1,446, 569.70.John Ding is a co-owner of the Newsagency and said the syndicate had been running for more than 15 years. "We're feeling great! We're so excited and happy for all of our syndicate members." The Buddhist Luck name comes from the fact there are two Buddha statues on their outlet counter.Now their customers can't stop rubbing those statues and the syndicate are hoping for more luck in the upcoming $21m Superdraw that takes place on March 29.The winning numbers in the March 14 Tatts Lotto draw were 42, 9, 17, 43, 26 and 7 with the supplementary numbers: 29 and 24.
