Just how do you choose your Lottery Numbers?

We all dream of winning the lottery but Alonzo Coleman from Virginia, USA, claims that is how he won $250,000 playing the June 11 Bank a Million draw.

There are many ways in which you can choose your lottery numbers. A recent $60 million Australian Powerball win was achieved by using special family members.

A profitable dream

For Alonzo, it seems all he had to do was just go to sleep. The numbers that won him $250,000 came to him in a dream. The June 11 draw was a memorable one because it contained six consecutive main numbers - 13-14-15-16-17-18. If that wasn’t strange enough, the bonus number was 19.

When those numbers won him $250,000, Alonzo just couldn’t believe his luck. “It was hard to believe,” said the lottery winner. “It still hasn’t hit me yet!” he added.

That’s not the only strange way to choose your lottery numbers and get a big win. A 51-year-old from Silver Spring in Maryland, USA, used a Uber driver’s licence plate to pick his numbers. It led to a $50,000 win in the Pick 5 draw on June 22.

Best taxi ride ever

 The lucky lottery winner has recently been having problems with his car. That led to him having to travel in an Uber taxi. He had a great chat with the Uber driver and that led to him remembering the driver’s licence plate.

Later he decided to buy a Keno ticket but also decided to get one for the next 5 draw as well. He needed to choose five numbers so he opted to use the numbers on the Uber

How did he behave when finding out he’d won? “I had no reaction. Zero,” he said. “I expected to be excited, to yell and scream. I'm not sure why I just sat there. I guess I was just frozen."

The lucky player added that he has big plans for his winning and joked:  “that will be my last Uber ride for a long while,”
