The SuperEnalotto jackpot was won last night for the first time since February this year, and the prize worth more than €20 million went to just one lucky Italian lottery player.
SuperEnalotto players must be the most patent of them all, as the most popular lottery game in Italy also hosts some of the most difficult odds. But it is worth the wait when you wake up on a Sunday morning the rightful owner of the latest SuperEnalotto prize worth €20,836,103.
The last winner of the Italian National Lottery came on February 22nd, when one lucky player won €11.9 million, and since then the lottery total has steadily grown. The six main numbers 3, 22, 38, 70, 77 and 81 were matched in order for the winner to take home his or her fortune, and there were also 12 tickets that matched five out of those six numbers to win a very impressive €22,610 each.
As is common with the SuperEnalotto, the Italian jackpot winner has not yet gone public, and it is likely that they never will for fear of being targeted for robbery. However, most other lottery players will be excitedly looking forward to the next SuperEnalotto draw which will take place on Tuesday May 27th with a brand new jackpot worth €6.3 million.
And while the SuperEnalotto has an excuse to celebrate for once, the Powerball lottery and its fans will be celebrating for a whole different reason. The 43-state lottery last night went without a winner, but its jackpot, in rolling over again, broke the $150 million mark. The lottery drew numbers were 15, 16, 28, 49 and 55 and the Powerball number 18; the jackpot was already worth an impressive $132 million, however as no ticket purchased across its member states, the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands matched all the drawn numbers, the lottery jackpot became worth an estimated $153 million for its next draw which will take place on Wednesday, May 28th. We’re sure ticket sales for this draw will be through the roof!
