MARYLAND COUPLE’S BAD DAY COMES UP GOOD WITH KENO WIN

A couple from Maryland who were having a bad day turned it into a very good one when they stopped off to play the Keno Lottery.

Heather Stephens and her husband Charles had received some bad luck when they’d taken Charles’ truck into the garage only to find out that replacing a part was going to be a huge expense. The couple needed to get the truck back on the road, but they were not happy with how much it was going to cost them.  A People’s Postcode Lottery winner from England had been having a tough time when she won £30,000 just days after retiring.

The Keno winning couple told Maryland Lottery officials that on their way home from the garage they decided to stop off at Hermanville Mobil near their home in Lexington Park and try their hand at a few Keno games. Heather’s winning ticket was actually from a number combination selected by Charles: “I just didn’t feel like playing it, so I gave it to her and it came up a winner,” Charles told Maryland Keno Lottery officials. “Good thing she’s my wife!” Recently a Keno player from Maryland found himself in tears after winning $30,000 on the popular game, while another Maryland man won over $37,000 in Keno winnings after kayaking to his favourite bar to play the game.

Heather said that she didn’t quite believe what she was seeing when their 8 winning numbers appeared on the monitor with a prize worth $20,000, “my first reaction was the go online and screenshot the results and compare them about a million times before I believed it,” she said. Heather Stephens is a sales associate at a Nissan dealership, and the pair quickly hopped into their car and drove to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim their Keno prize.

Now that the $20,000 Keno lottery win is in the bank, Heather said that the first thing she’ll do is to repair Charles’ truck, which he needs for his job running a haulage company. A Cash 5 lottery winner from Connecticut planned to put his winnings towards fixing his car, and a Connecticut Super Draw winner said that he also wanted to fix his truck after winning on a ticket given to him by his employees. Mrs and Mrs Stephens then plan to use some more of the winnings on a celebratory night out to mark their fifth wedding anniversary.
