Scotland Here I Come Says £1m UK Lotto Winner

Steve Glover from Exeter in Devon, England, is full of ideas on how to spend his lottery winnings. He was lucky enough to win £1 million in the UK Lotto draw held on March 4.

The retired taxi driver matched the five main balls and the Bonus Ball to win his prize. The 73-year old will be back on the road in a new motorhome. He plans on travelling around the Highlands of Scotland, an area of the UK he has fond memories of.

The UK Lotto winner served in the RAF and was stationed in Scotland. While returning there in his motorhome, he will look for a property to buy.

Dream home

Speaking about his win, he said: “I’m after a nice little croft with a bit of land and when I see the right place, I will know it’s the one."

He’s already been busy spending some of his £1 million UK Lotto win.  A new car has been purchased as his Land Rover was “on its last legs.” Also purchased were two barrels of prime Scotch whisky that might be kept as an investment.

His UK Lotto success came with numbers that he has been using for a long time. He instantly recognised them when checking the March 4 result on his tablet.

Tea time

He rang a friend and asked him to read the winning selection to him. His ex-wife received a similar call and then finally he started to believe his good luck. Even so, he just made himself a cup of tea and pledged not to celebrate until the winnings were in his bank account.

Once his win was confirmed, he went to the shop where he bought his UK Lotto ticket. He told everyone his good news and gave Deia (who sold him the winning ticket) a bunch of flowers.

It’s a change of fortunes for the UK Lotto winner. He’s had two heart attacks and an injury that stopped him working. That caused his business to collapse but this win will change his life.
